Gasping for breath, for truth, to be free
Struggling to break your hold over me
Your hands on my throat is not love, it’s not fair
Must be dumb, after all my brain’s not getting air
I know in your mind air is evil, no good
I can’t see, I don’t listen, but you think that I should
But my neck has grown, no longer your hands fit my throat
I’m telling you now, that it’s time to let go
