Laying on the beach
On a cool summer’s night
You within my reach
Bathed in pale moonlight
All at once we’re taken
Lifted high above the clouds
I look and try to make them
Take us to the ground
Far below I see
Lights within the waves
And the person holding me
Says, “We couldn’t be saved.”
Below in the water floating
Two objects drifting a sea
And I realize with heart beating
The objects are you and me
Looking up I spied
The gates of heaven’s door
And realized that we died
To live in heaven forevermore
