You’ve been so blessed with an enlightened way
You see the world in varied shades of grey
You know it all too very, very well
You’re forced to keep it to yourself….
You see what others always fail to see
You watch them act the way you want to be
You know it more than anybody else
You’re forced to keep it to yourself….
Would you throw it all away?
For just a single day?
Would you forfeit all you are,
Just to get away?
Would you turn your back on treasure,
And instead, opt to pay?
Would you throw it all away?
Would you throw it all away?
You have what others wish that they could have
But it seems that Fate needed a laugh
Despite the everything that you have tried
The grass is always greener, on the other side
You know the things you wish you could forget
Ignorance is bliss, and knowledge isn’t it
So for peace of mind you’d give up all your wealth
But you’re forced to keep it to yourself….
Will you throw it all away?
For just a single day?
Will you forfeit all you are,
Just to get away?
Will you turn your back on treasure,
And instead, opt to pay?
Will you throw it all away?
Will you throw it all away?
You just want to be like everyone else
For this you’ll even give up your good health
Relax, you’ll be too dumb to realize
The sacrifices made to win your prize
Once you go, there is no turning back
But you don’t mind, that’s just a useless fact
You’ll no longer see what most don’t see
“That’s okay, this is what I need.”
So you throw it all away
For just a single day
You forfeit all you are,
Just to get away
You turn your back on treasure,
And instead you opt to pay
You throw it all away
You throw it all away
