Seven AM came too soon I’d give up anything for noon And as noon passed us out of sight I’d long to then have till midnight And as midnight to past would go I’d wish to then have time be slowed And as the darkness faded ‘way I’d pray for just another day And as that day would reach its peak I’d long for just a single week And as that week would disappear I’d fight for just a single year And as in time the seasons changed That year would then be out of range And as that year would fade to night I’d ask to spend the rest of life And as our lives then passed us by We’d wait for Death to make us die We’d hear a voice, we’d turn and see And then begin eternity
